Powder Test Out New Mighty Studios
28 December 2000
Powder have started work on some new tracks for their next release. Plans for 2001 include two singles and an album. The first single will probably released in March with the album release currently slated for June. Powder have been in the new studio over Christmas laying down tracks on five new tracks including Heroine, Chemical Son and Wish. Tracking has gone really well so far with very few teething problems with the new equipment bar a few feedback experiments. Just how robust our new ATCs are has been demonstrated by Roger on more than one occasion.
Rob's drum tracks have all been rock solid recorded without a click track. Steve has laid down the bass on all the tracks and Andy and Dean have been working their way through all the guitar parts. We should be in a position to start mixing some of the tracks in January. We'll post up some early demos as soon as we can.
Finally, keep your eyes peeled for our web cams. Tomsk has been working over Christmas to get the cams up and running. Once they're in you'll be able to see proceedings in the studio live.
