Mighty Atom News and Events
The Liberty 37 album "God Machine" was re-released on April 8th with a switch to new distributors Plastic Head.
Liberty 37 will be releasing "Jihad" as the first single off the album. This is scheduled for release in late June / early July. The video for the track was shot in London at the end of April. The first edit looks great. Hopefully, we'll see some airplay on MTV2 and Kerrang! ahead of the release.
The Goatboy debut album "Superlube" was also released on the April 8th. This is getting rave reviews at the moment and is a big favourite of John Peel. The boys completed a session for the Man in late February and it should be aired on May 16th. Listen out for that one.
Goatboy have been confirmed at Metal Hammer's 2nd Midsummer Nightmare on June 1st @ Exeter Phoenix & Grounds. They're on Stage 1 with Spunge, Skindred and Sugarcoma. Goatboy have also been confirmed at Glastonbury this year on Stage 2. Should be a cracker.
Goatboy also have a new range of merchanise. You can get hold of this at the gigs, or visit the Mighty Atom web shop at www.mightyatom.co.uk/acatalog.
We are currently planning a single release for Goatboy scheduled for late July. This will likely include the excellent cover of the Kyuss track "100 degrees".
Goatboy's turntablist and bassist, Deckmasha Slice and Neil (A-nom) have also been hard at work on their other project, the Headcase Ladz. Their EP "Absurdisms" is now out on general release on 12" vinyl.
The Funeral For A Friend EP has now been mixed and mastered, and is just awaiting completion of the artwork before going to press. Its due for release at the end of June, though we haven't set a firm release date yet.
STICKMAN have mixed 4 top tracks which will be available shortly. Again we haven't set a firm release date yet but it is imminent. We will be stepping things up a gear for the guys this year, their new web site is going to be up soon and they will be doing a UK support tour in the summer.
Also look out for our own range of clothing called "Mighty" later on this year, designs and lists of suppliers are being drawn up already.
Finally, its time to say goodbye to Denzel. Mighty Atom and the band reached an ammicable split. We wish them luck with their future endeavours.
