Well, its that festive time of year again and we here at the Mighty Atom offices wish all of you out there a mightilly merry christmas which much drinking and festivities. We were hoping to emulate our part extravaganza of 1999, but alas we have been unable to secure a suitable venue on a suitable night. But next year...
The Liberty 37 tour is drawing to a close this year. They have a final show at the Rocksound Christmas party in Sheffield. We will all be there as it promises to be a stormer of a night with Earthtone9, Skith and Forever Until October. Liberty 37 have alot of coverage in the December issue of Rocksound who have really taken a shine to the album.
Don't forget the new Liberty 37 album is out now and though stock is certainly varibale through the shops, it is readilly available online at Amazon or HMV or Kerrang, or even here on the Mighty Atom Retail site. Also now available from the Mighty Web Retail store are Liberty 37 Hooded sweats, T shirts and girls Crop Top T shirts. For more info check the Liberty 37 web site .
The Headcase Ladz new EP should be released in December, though we haven't set an exact date yet. The EP was mixed by No Sleep Nigel (producer with Blade and Mark-B) which sounds awesome. Dek-masha Slicer man (also of Goatboy), A-nom and Nobsta Nutts deliver the very best of underground British hip-hop. Its a long two years since the last Headcase release on WonkyWax Records which received much critical acclaim on the British and European hip-hop scenes. Also, while doing the new E.P. they also recorded a track for Johnny B's new E.P. "Rhyme Hungry" titled "gobstoppers". The re-hashed version appears on the Headcase Ladz E.P. You can order Johnny B's E.P. at Rounda Records and most good outlets in the U.K. The Ladz also have a new web site which you can find at www.headcaseladz.com. Also available on the Headcase website will be various volumes of Headcase's older music which either got minimal pressings or was'nt released at all, they will be titled "UNRELEASED BANGERS - 1988 - 2001", they will be on C.D. format only (unfortunately) but will be selling for only £2.50 plus p&p (dole queue prices). The Headcase Ladz new E.P. is currently being played on "ITCH FM 105.15" the show is called the metal fingers show and goes out on a sunday afternoon in London, tune in.
Oh, and don't forget, you can still buy one of the last few copies of the first Headcase album here.watch this space for the wonkiest hip hop in the U.K. Nobsta'a solo 7" single on wonky wax is selling like hotcakes at the moment, to get your hands on copy go to www.thebigdaddy.com or contact nobsta at nobsta@headcaseladz.com .
